Totally off the current subject...

Robin,

Notice the intercom crew box in the photos...it's from the American VRC family of radios, the RT-524 (46 set here in Canada)

Strange to see that fitted in this vehicle... but ... may back up the BATUS idea on the paint scheme ...

Well, as a founding member of the Rivett Counters Society I award you a lifetime mebership for spotting that one and also beating me to it as I had only skimmed the photos!

Would the owner of the vehicle care to comment per chance? Maybe he had some Belgian junk left over or its really a Belgian vehicle in disguise as they used the M series stuff (M standing for "Merican" dont you know ;) )

The Belgians do use that intercom system. I doubt that the British Army would have wanted to use anything other than Clansman simply because they had so much Clansman stuff.

What colour is the engine? Is it red?
