how do they stick it in a warm climate :?:
you realy have to work the engine to kept the cvrt on the boil
and at the same time trying to nurse the engine not hard to know why the mod went through so many
PS a jerry can full does not go far

Good to hear you are out and about enjoying it!

They tend to barbeque your right leg as you may notice.... You do have to work it a bit hard to keep it going, but as long as you aren't bouncing off the rev limiter all the time it should be ok. I glance at the rev counter and if it is at about the 12 o'clock position then I'm not revving it too hard (about 3500? rpm at that position i think).

My calculations for this season have worked out that our Spartan has done about 1km per litre (this includes going around show sites in low gears). About 3mpg.

Any pictures?

right there g hopper
hard gaugeing the revs with the head sets on be great if one eye swiveld on its own
i find i have to check on the rev counter as to where the reves are
if you were a trooper living with a cvrt months on end you could get used to it and lots off spare engines on hand
it is hard when when you only drive it now and again
must say it never fails to give a adrenalin rush
lots off little bits off trim and ces too finish off yet but easy street from here on in
not like the PETROL TANK replacement job from hell would rather ghange over engine

Can say i was quite disappointed to discover it leaked having poured 80L worth of fuel into it! Still, there was only ever going to be one way to find out. It was ok with the first 60L.....

Have a similar thing on my Scorpion project, it was caused by the bearing nut being a bit too loose. The seal is a 2-part affair with a rubber part and a metal part on the hub, and a matching assembly on the stub axle. The seal between the rotating hub and non-moving stub axle is by two machined metal faces. The rubber part just secures and seals the metal part in place. Stripping, cleaning and re-assembling may cure the fault.

For anybody who doesn't know what a hub seal on a CVRT looks like, heres a picture of one.
